Primary Plus scores £1.3 m hat-trick

Included is a £810,000 contract to convert a 650 m2 hospital ward into a primary care centre (pictured) at Ashfield Community Hospital in Kirkby in Ashfield, north Nottinghamshire, for North Nottinghamshire Local Improvement Finance Trust (LIFT) Company and Nottinghamshire County Teaching Primary Care Trust (PCT). Thirty consulting and treatment rooms and offices have been created, along with extra parking. The facility opened last month.

A £200,000 contract to project manage the construction of a single-storey extension, and minor refurbishment works, at Clipstone Health Centre, also in north Nottinghamshire, has also just been completed. The new wing will house additional treatment rooms for the single GP practice based there, with over 9,300 patients set to benefit.

In a third, £300,000 deal, Primary Plus is managing the internal refurbishment of Radford Health Centre in Nottingham City for Greater Nottingham LIFT Company. The 16-week programme, due for completion this month, also includes external decoration. The building houses four GP practices serving 11,000 patients.
