Delegate rates announced for Healthcare Estates ’08

The “call for papers” campaign for the conference at this October’s Healthcare Estates 2008 Conference & Exhibition, the leading event for the construction, development and maintenance of UK healthcare facilities, has now closed, and IHEEM reports that this year’s response has been “excellent”.

The submitted papers will now be reviewed, with the best, and most relevant, incorporated into the main conference programme. They will be joined by presentations from specially invited speakers to create a programme IHEEM says will cover the very varied challenges faced by those working within healthcare engineering and estates management, and reflect the growing importance of the various health estates and facilities disciplines within the modern healthcare arena.

The conference programme will be launched in June’s Health Estate Journal, giving readers their first opportunity to view the papers selected, and to book a place at the event.

The IHEEM Education Committee has announced the delegate rates for this year’s conference (see table).

The IHEEM Annual Conference is known throughout the healthcare facilities market as the leading event both for delivering the latest policy announcements, and providing delegates with expert guidance on these policies. The conference will also seek to harness the latest knowledge, thinking and best practice examples of the core principles of design, construction, facilities management and sustainability of healthcare facilities.

The main theme at this year’s conference is “Clean, Safe & Sustainable Environments for Care”, a theme reflected in a programme which IHEEM promises will offer attendees a wide range of sessions on topical issues to match their varied roles and interests. The accompanying Healthcare Estates exhibition is also very popular; over 60% of the available exhibition space is already sold. A broad spectrum of products and services that will help those in healthcare estates and facilities management deliver a sustainable, efficient, patient-centred environment is promised.
