Galliford Try has been awarded a £3.8 million contract to build Europe’s largest IVF Centre of its kind at Liverpool Women’s Hospital.
The contract win is the latest in a series of North West health facilities to be developed by Galliford Try. Other projects include a 20-year framework partnering agreement with Liverpool & Sefton Health Partnership which has so far involved developing six primary health care centres. Galliford Try is also building other health centres in the region on behalf of Halton & St Helens, Knowsley and Warrington LIFT.
Sue Lorimer, acting CEO of Liverpool Women’s NHS Foundation Trust, said: “This facility is so important to thousands of couples who want nothing more than to start a family. The unit will not only provide the highest quality environment possible for couples receiving treatment, but it also has all the advantages of being situated in a leading NHS teaching hospital specialising in women's health.”
AA Projects is acting as employer’s agent and providing cost management services. Gilling Dod is the architect, while Alan Johnson Partnership and Hulley & Kirkwood are providing structural and building services consultancy respectively.
