IHEEM is drawing further attention to
its firm intention to improve
communication with members.
As stated in Health Estate Journal recently, the IHEEM website at
www.iheem.org.uk is packed full of information including all the latest event, branch and industry news. Planning your diary for the next six months? Then go to your dedicated branch pages where you will find all the latest information about forthcoming local events as well as contact details for the branch committee members. Been asked to find the contact details of your local Authorised Person (Sterilizer)? Then go to the Authorising Engineers section where you will find a complete list.
For the website to be truly effective the Institute needs you to sign up to the members only section of the site. Many members have already joined – the procedure for signing up could not be easier. Simply go to the members only pages and create your own account with a selected user name, a password and your membership number and contact details.
If you have any problems or questions about this please contact Louise Hammond on 023 9282 3186 or send an email to
events@iheem.org.uk
Once you are a confirmed member in this section you will be able to access the Institute Standing Orders which has a wealth of information ranging from procedural guidance for becoming an Incorporated Engineer, to the latest consultation document, to every aspect of the Institute’s operational business. Also found on the bulletin board are the latest hazard notices from the Department of Health, the regular newsletter of the Engineering Technology Board, legal hints and tips from Law Express and much more.
In addition to this, if you have an important technical question, or would like to share a solution with your peers, the members only section also features a discussion board with various streams and topics covered.
