A new bespoke multi-storey modular ward building needed to support the longer-term development of Greater London’s Hillington Hospital features Vistamatic vision panels as an observation and privacy solution.
Vistamatic worked with key contractor, Lloyd Worrall, and Western Building Systems on the new temporary building, the Jubilee Ward, which has been created for the Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, and will provide specialist paediatrics, stroke care, rehabilitation, and dementia services. Lloyd Worrall was tasked with providing doorset and ironmongery for the new-build project. It recommended Vistamatic vision panels as an observation and privacy solution.
Vistamatic provided 67 of its 200 x 1245 mm Vista Max XLs. The non-fire rated panels were specified to be dual-side operated. Additionally, a small number of both similar and smaller FD 30 panels were also supplied. The Vistamatic units were installed in the consulting and treatment room doors, allowing large viewing aspects, while still offering concealment and security.
Lloyd Worrall National account manager, Andrew Moore said: “As usual the project was not short of its hidden hurdles, one being time constraints, but the Vistamatic package was supplied correctly and on time. The doorsets look great, and both the contractor and the hospital are very happy with the completed project.”
Vistamatic MD, Mark Nash, said, “We are proud to work with Lloyd Worrall on this project. We maintain the highest quality for our vision panels, and we know the company does the same for its doorsets. We are sure that the new Jubilee Ward will be a great addition to the patient experience at Hillingdon Hospital.”
