The Healthcare Estates Conference 2023 is ‘a defining moment’ for GPT Consult, says the company, which was founded as GPT Consult LLP in 2012 by Graham Taylor.
The business has ‘gone from strength to strength’ over the last 11 years, supporting numerous clients across the UK with their Authorised Engineer needs, working on capital projects, and providing experience on Expert Witness cases.
This growth has seen the company expand. In September 2023, it added two new engineers to the team, as well as more support staff. As it has previously announced, Mahesh Mistry and Lou Clark will be part of the larger GPT Consult engineering team. Mahesh Mistry has joined from Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, and Lou Clark will join shortly from Guy's and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust.
GPT Consult said: “The conference in Manchester is first time that new and existing clients will be able to meet the expanded GPT Consult team, where they will be on stand C72. It will provide a unique opportunity to not only meet the engineers, but also talk with members of the wider GPT Consult family. New managing director, Alan Gates, said: “I am looking forward to meeting our clients, both current and potential, at the conference. It will be a fantastic opportunity to discuss face to face what we GPT Consult can do to help. Personally, it is a privilege to be stepping up to the role of managing director of such a well-known firm in the industry, and I am excited to meet more people from the industry.”
Along with Alan Gates and the new members of the team, Graham Taylor will be joined by Roy Ridler and Paul Crother, existing Authorising Engineers with GPT Consult. There will also be the opportunity to meet John Phillips and Sam Buckell, who support the business with their expertise on capital project work.
New Technical director, Louise Clark, said: “I am pleased to be joining GPT Consult, and I hope I continue to impress our clients with the quality of service that Graham and the team have provided over the last 11 years. Being part of the larger team at GPT Consult will allow us to be more holistic and client-centric, working together to ensure that our clients get the advice and support they need.”
Later in 2023, GPT Consult will open a new office in Leicestershire close to junction 21 of the M69/M1. It says this new base will allow greater collaboration between clients and colleagues, and provide a dedicated training space, enabling enable GPT Consult to run bespoke and specialist training to support client needs. Further details of the training offering will be available in due course.
