Supplier of medical gas pipeline systems and services, SHJ Medical Gas Specialists, has made two senior appointments to its Customer Care Team – Kim Bowkett as head of Service, and Rebecca Coolahan as Contracts manager.
SHJ says it ‘champions women in engineering’, and the importance of increasing their representation within this industry. It said: “These key appointments also demonstrate our commitment to building strong long-term relationships with customers, and offering an unrivalled level of customer service.”
Kim Bowkett said: “I’m truly excited to be joining SHJ, not just because they are the leading name in a very important sector, or because they’re such a friendly team, but because I know I can help the company continue to develop. I’ve spent over 30 years finding ways to deliver engineering and technical services more effectively, and there can be no sector where that is as vital as medical gases, upon which lives depend. SHJ employs superlative engineering and IT skills, and my job will be to ensure that these translate into ever higher standards of service, more contented customers, and, ultimately, increasingly profitable growth.”
Rebecca Coolahan added: “Working previously as an associate Contract manager within a hospital Estates team means I fully understand how important customer care can be. Managing different contractors, as well as your own internal team, under such critical conditions, can – at times – feel overwhelming, which is why as part of my role as SHJ’s Contracts manager I am dedicated to ensuring that all our customers feel they are in safe hands. The ability to rely on and trust contractors within a healthcare setting is vital for any Estates team, and I therefore aim to ensure that all our customers feel SHJ is attentive and competent across all aspects of the business. “
SHJ is also supporting Rebecca Coolahan with her Level 3 Facilities Management Supervisor Apprenticeship.
