Maternity system agreement signed

Huntleigh Healthcare has signed an agreement with Care Records to act as exclusive partners for the development, marketing and worldwide distribution of the ‘eclipse Maternity Information System’.

This new product provides maternity, fetal medicine and neonatal applications to integrate with the Huntleigh Dopplex Centrale labour ward CTG monitoring and archiving system. Peter Cashin, managing director of the Diagnostic Products Division of Huntleigh Healthcare, said: “This relationship places Huntleigh Healthcare in a unique world-leading position, allowing us to offer our customers total solutions from handheld Dopplers and fetal monitors, right through to integrated hospitalwide, or even Trust-wide maternity systems.” While Huntleigh Healthcare intends to take this product into the global marketplace, it is also ideally placed to deliver an advanced maternity system into the National Programme for IT, giving maternity units in England the opportunity to choose world class products which are locally developed and supported. Care Records is based in Nottingham and is an experienced provider of specialist clinical systems. Its design and development team has been providing innovative products for NHS clinical departments for a number of years. With the advent of the National Programme for IT (NPfIT) in England, it has become an active supplier of products and services to the LSPs. Care Records provides a range of clinical products based on a single scaleable EPR platform, which was designed to meet the challenging requirements of modern healthcare programmes such as NPfIT. Huntleigh Healthcare, Diagnostic Products Division, is a British company with over 25 years’ experience in manufacturing a wide range of medical diagnostic products including a comprehensive range of fetal monitoring products and software systems. This latest addition to the range places Huntleigh in a unique and leading position.
