Survey respondents rewarded

Three representatives from the Engineering Council UK attended IHEEM’s Portsmouth offices in October for an interim review of the Institute’s license to register engineers.

While there, they were asked to select the names of three Institute members whose names were entered into a draw after returning their membership questionnaires (HEJ – August and September 2008) by the 30 September deadline. The lucky winners, Adrian Turner (first prize of £100 in high street shopping vouchers), Kenneth Eatwell, and Bob Sanders (each winning £50 in shopping vouchers), will now receive their prizes.

Chris Parker, IHEEM’s membership and recruitment manager, said: “I am pleased to report a very positive response to the recent membership survey, and am delighted in the interest shown by members, of all grades, ages, lengths of membership, and from all employment sectors. An interim report was submitted to Council in October and the fuller report will be considered by the membership committee at its December meeting. Many suggestions for improvement to all aspects of the Institute’s activities were made, and these will be fully considered. Many will form part of the strategy for 2009 and beyond.

Thank you to all who took the time to respond.”
