Eastwood Park to promote latest course at IDSc

Eastwood Park will promote its extended decontamination portfolio at this month’s IDSc conference Blackpool, including the latest course – the Decontamination Lead Training course.

The training establishment says the new five-day residential course provides the knowledge and skills to perform the role of decontamination lead within a healthcare environment. It includes the practical operation of different types of decontamination equipment and the importance of regular testing, equipment tendering, principles of audit, and identifying the training needs of staff.

Sue Peckham, Eastwood Park’s training manager responsible for the decontamination portfolio, said: “Our decontamination portfolio has changed significantly in line with the drive towards reducing hospital-spread infections. We have been training and assessing over 350 NVQ students in the past two years since the decontamination pathway of the Health Level 3 NVQ has become available.”
