Plant efficiency maximised

With health estate managers under pressure to reduce emissions, energy consumption and maintenance bills, Eaton-Williams Service (EWS) is offering an HVAC optimisation service to help maximise plant efficiency which it says can bring “a very quick return on investment”.

The EWS Health Check and Optimisation service is based around Climacheck, a plant diagnostics instrument that measures the COP (coefficient of performance) of any air conditioning or refrigeration plant, enabling EWS to adjust each component to improve overall efficiency.

EWS can reportedly help companies reduce energy consumption by at least 10%. For instance, it maintains that a computer room with 400 kWh of cooling “running 24/7” enhanced by 10% will save around 350,000 kW per year, or £29,200 on energy costs.

Climacheck can be used with any size air conditioning system regardless of refrigerant type/cooling medium. It takes an EWS engineer approximately 30 minutes to connect the analyser to the plant and measure performance.

An optimisation plan is then implemented based on the data.
