Keraflo joins BAFSA following ‘landmark’ fire valve accreditation

Keraflo, which specialises in water management solutions for commercial and public buildings, has officially joined the British Automatic Fire Sprinkler Association (BAFSA), in a move that it says signifies its commitment to enhancing fire safety standards in the UK.

It comes in the wake of the company’s accreditation from the Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB), which it says underscores the quality and reliability of its Fire Valves – the first in the industry to receive such recognition under the stringent requirements of LPS 2083. The ‘milestone’ aligns with BAFSA’s ‘mission’ to promote the highest standards of fire safety through automatic fire sprinklers, ‘positioning Keraflo as a key contributor to advancing fire protection systems’.

“Joining BAFSA is a natural progression for Keraflo as we continue to innovate in the field of fire safety,” said Richard Braid, MD of Keraflo. “With the LPCB accreditation of our Fire Valves, we’re setting a new standard in the industry, and BAFSA membership allows us to further advocate for safer, more compliant fire protection systems. This partnership will help us collaborate with like-minded professionals, and continue to push the boundaries of safety and performance in fire protection.”

BAFSA is the UK’s leading trade association for the promotion of fire sprinkler systems, and works closely with regulators, fire services, and industry bodies to ensure the highest safety standards are met across all sectors. As a member, Keraflo says it joins ‘a network of experts committed to improving fire safety, and raising awareness of the life-saving benefits of automatic fire suppression systems’.

Alasdair Perry, CEO of BAFSA, added: “BAFSA is proud to represent, promote, and enhance the manufacture, installation, and maintenance of automatic fire sprinkler and water-based fire suppression systems in all buildings, across all sectors, with the highest degree of competence and professionalism. We have a strong focus on educating and training our members, influencing industry stakeholders, and promoting the benefits that fire protection systems provide in saving lives and property and businesses.”
