Dry lining and fire protection specialist Pace Installations, commissioned by main contractor Thomas Barnes, has completed an accelerated programme of dry lining and suspended ceiling works at Blackpool Hospital.
Working with them, Pace developed a revised schedule, increased labour on site, and adopted flexible working hours, culminating in the on-site programme being reduced from 12 to eight weeks. Frank Donaldson, contracts manager, Thomas Barnes, comments: “Despite the time constraints, Pace was extremely responsive, and always had adequate resources on site. You could totally rely on the firm to deliver and, as a result, the installation was completed to an impressive standard.”
