Liebherr, a specialist in commercial refrigeration, has launched a new range of under-bench fridges and freezers, ‘engineered to meet the diverse and demanding needs of modern laboratories, research, and healthcare facilities’.
The new under-bench range compromises five Performance series models, including two models designed specifically for flammable storage requirements, and three Perfection series models. Liebherr said: “Delivering exceptional performance, energy efficiency, and ease of use, our new under-bench appliances combine advanced refrigeration technology with practical design, ensuring optimal performance in even the most demanding healthcare and scientific environments.
“Whether outfitting a large research facility or a small clinical unit, customers can rely on these appliances for outstanding energy efficiency, user-friendly features, and the premium quality that defines every Liebherr product.”
‘Intelligent features’ designed to ensure safe storage and easy monitoring of sensitive materials include Liebherr’s SmartLock system, which helps protect against unauthorised access, while a built-in SafetyDevice prevents any accidental drop in temperature below +2 °C – ‘critical for preserving the integrity of temperature sensitive substances’.
Every appliance in the new range also includes an integrated DataLogger, which continuously records alarm events, temperature history ,and service data, for up to five years. Liebherr added: “Storage reliability is also further enhanced by corrosion-resistant, coated steel shelves that ensure consistent air circulation and temperature stability. The shelves are fitted with a secure pull-out stop to prevent accidental removal or tipping – ideal for high-traffic, fast-paced environments.”
