Rapid emergency response

C-TECs “cost-effective and versatile” addressable call system, Quantec, has been specified by nurse call and panic alarm specialist Contract Distributors for a new £7.5 million healthcare facility in Great Malvern, Worcestershire.

With 24 consulting rooms, Prospect View Medical Centre provides GP services for 19,000 patients, and community health services for the whole of Malvern. The building houses district nurses, health visitors for children and the elderly, school nurses, and occupational therapists. Designed to make premises safe and secure, C-TEC says Quantec is “a vital piece of life safety equipment which ensures essential communication for patients and staff at the centre in emergency situations”. Each consultation room is equipped with a call point, special call lead and overdoor light, enabling occupants to raise an alarm in an emergency situation. David Jago, centre manager, said: “The Quantec system is invaluable as it provides staff and patients with the reassurance that, if there is an emergency, it will be responded to quickly.”
