UK infrastructure services, construction and property group Kier has bolstered its healthcare team with three new appointments.
Rebecca Garcia has been named as alliance director, Bonnie Chu as alliance design director, and Rachel Anderson as social value lead.
Rebecca and Bonnie’s roles will drive Kier’s alliancing capability across its portfolio, including on major and acute hospital projects, bringing with them a wealth of experience across healthcare, as well as broader sectors including education, justice and housing.
Rebecca has 18 years’ experience working in the public sector with government clients to form partnerships, drive collaboration and deliver a shared vision. She will ensure mutual project goals are achieved for customers across Kier’s large-scale infrastructure and capital projects.
A qualified architect, Bonnie joins Kier Construction with 20 years’ experience in the construction industry. In addition to her day-to-day role, Bonnie also sits on the Board of Governors at University College London Hospitals Foundation Trust and is a co-founder of Women in Healthcare Built Environment (WIHBE). At Kier, she will further define and drive the design vision across its alliance partnerships in healthcare.
Rachel brings over a decade of social value insight and expertise to her new role, which is positioned centrally supporting all sectors where Kier operates. She recently served as the social value lead on the pioneering National Rehabilitation Centre in Loughborough, achieving more than double targets set. Rachel will work alongside Kier’s regional social value teams to drive the integration of measurable and meaningful metrics into bids and projects, from concept through to legacy.
Spencer Baber, managing director of Kier Strategic Projects, said: “We're excited to have Bonnie, Rebecca and Rachel onboard, bringing incredible value to our team and offer. Their combined knowledge, breadth of sector experience and passion for alliancing and social value will bring significant benefits to our customers and partners.
