NG Bailey wins Great Ormond Street contract

BAM Construction has appointed NG Bailey, one of the UK’s largest building services providers, to deliver all mechanical, electrical and ICT services for Great Ormond Street Hospital’s new clinical building. The £37.5 million contract will see it install and commission all mechanical and electrical services, working alongside its specialist off-site division, Bailey Off-Site, to manufacture 110 prefabricated corridor modules and electrical risers.

The company’s specialist ICT arm has also been assigned to provide the structured cabling on the project. Tim Cunningham, operations director for NG Bailey in London, said: “This is a substantial project for us, and one of the largest healthcare projects we’ve contracted in London.” NG Bailey is already engaged in the precommencement phase and will start delivering the work in February 2010, with a completion date of November 2011. The company offers a comprehensive range of services, including mechanical and electrical and ICT design, prefabrication, installation and commissioning – all with lifetime maintenance.
