IHEEM has welcomed two new staff to its Portsmouth head office team A former chief design engineer at Marconi Radar & Defence Systems with a background in electrical and electronic engineering, Jeff Pickering has joined as the Institute’s new events and education manager.
His role will centre on managing and developing IHEEM’s programme of one-day educational seminars. He is also the liaison officer for Health Estate Journal, the IHEEM website and wallplanner, and will support IHEEM’s Education and Journal committees. Married with two sons who share his two key passions, football and music, he also enjoys keeping fit by cycling, walking and “the occasional game of football”. IHEEM’s second new staff member, Charlotte Fletcher, who has joined as membership officer providing maternity cover for Clair Sandford, recently graduated in Public Health – Health Studies with honours from Leeds Metropolitan University. She explained: “I am now enjoying my first ‘real job’ and life as a ‘real person’.
