A new £10.5 million site extension is set to open this autumn at the South West’s largest private healthcare facility.
Spire Bristol Hospital, The Glen, is already a national centre of excellence for cardiac, brain and spinal surgery, with around 280 consultants practising, but the extension will see existing services such as cardiology, cardiac surgery, and orthopaedics, expanded. A new operating theatre will also be added, bringing the site total to five. The extension will provide major investment in new surgical and diagnostic equipment; the redevelopment and expansion of theatre recovery; reconstruction of the intensive care unit; a new diagnostic cardiology unit; a total re-fit and expansion of the outpatients’ department; an internal refurbishment, including 13 new patient bedrooms, and improved parking and access.
