BAM Construct UK has won six gold medals from the Considerate Constructors’ Scheme (CCS) – more than any other major contractor, following its announcement in April of a record turnover for the year ended 31 December 2008 of £1.75 billion.
BAM – best known for building hospitals, schools, and offices, won its awards for separate projects in different UK areas. The awards reflect how a site performs in respect of the environment, safety, accountability, and being a good neighbour to client and community. BAM signs up all its sites to the scheme, which typically conducts over 1,000 inspections per month across the UK.
