Disinfection without side-effects

“One of the most powerful broad spectrum disinfectants ever developed” is how CK Consumables describes Difficil-S, a new “low cost” two-part broad spectrum daily disinfectant that, “unlike standard oxidising chlorine-based products like bleach”, does not give off toxic gases, nor cause long-term corrosion to surfaces, equipment or utensils.

Said, despite its potency, to be “safe and simple” to use, Difficil-S reportedly achieves “a similar high level bacteria kill rate to sodium hypochlorite bleaches” (5 log reduction at 10,000 ppm). Department of Health-recommended, its “almost neutral” pH makes it “safe for cleaners and surfaces alike”. Diluted at only 1:400, the disinfectant is said to be effective against C. difficile, norovirus, Listeria, E. coli, MRSA, Salmonella, Pseudomonas and tuberculosis, yet is “stable, non-corrosive, non-carcinogenic, and has no unpleasant or harmful gas release when diluted”.
