Institute appeals for website help

IHEEM is to get a refurbished website to meet the growing membership needs of information exchange. The Institute’s Council has agreed to a refurbishment of the site, which it is considered is becoming “stale”, and “no longer meets the quality benchmark that IHEEM’s healthcare engineers and facility managers seek from their Institute”.

A refurbishment case paper was agreed by the Council at its October 2009 meeting, and the programme of improvements began in November with the commissioning of a professionally sourced Requirements Specification document. The Council has established a small Website Working Group under the chairmanship of IHEEM president designate Paul Kingsmore, who is keen to introduce into the Group IHEEM members with skilled professional knowledge of website design, website management and web marketing which can be harnessed as the re-vamp moves forward. It is envisaged that all consultation and advice will be by either email or telephone. Institute members who believe they have the necessary skills to contribute to this work should in the first instance contact CEO John Long at: john.long@iheem.co.uk
