Hampshire Primary Care Trust, reportedly England’s largest PCT, has selected Real Asset Management (RAM’s) Asset4000 asset inventory and depreciation software to manage assets valued at some £150 million.
Asset4000 will provide a centralised asset register which can ensure the detailed level of component accounting required across PCT departments, NHS Hampshire, and Hampshire Community Healthcare (HCHC), thus streamlining business processes and affording significant time and cost savings. Hampshire PCT recently separated the organisation into NHS Hampshire – the commissioning side of the PCT, and provider service HCHC. The PCT’s asset base includes land, buildings, medical equipment, furniture, and IT equipment, all of which will be recorded at a component level for each entity to provide detailed information and values on each asset in each department. Asset4000 controls, tracks, and records all changes that occur within an asset’s lifetime, to provide accurate, up-to-date, and historical data from the point at which the asset was acquired.
