Multidisciplinary building design, civil engineering, environment, management, and transport consultancy Capita Symonds has acquired healthcare consultancy Inventures for an undisclosed sum.
With four UK offices and over 100 consultants, Inventures provides programme and project management, property and estate management, healthcare planning, and facilities management advice to the NHS and other public sector bodies UK-wide. It claims currently to be helping 125 NHS organisations manage projects and reduce costs through better utilisation of property and efficiencies from their support services. Graham Cowley, Capita Symonds’ COO, said: “Inventures’ position as market leaders in the provision of estates and facilities management advice to the healthcare sector, aligned with our national delivery capability, will offer a compelling proposition to our partners across the public sector. The acquisition is particularly exciting in the context of the ‘Total Place’ agenda.”
