Conference in a ‘pivotal’ year

With 2010 likely, with the forthcoming general election, to be a pivotal one for UK healthcare estates and facilities personnel, this year’s Healthcare Estates conference and exhibition will, promise the organisers, “be packed full of interesting content reflecting the needs of all those responsible for the planning, design, construction, maintenance, operation, and management, of both public and private healthcare facilities”.

Taking place at Manchester Central from 5-6 October, the 2010 conference will have, as its theme, “Creating Cleaner, Leaner, Safer and Greener Environments for Quality Patient Care”. The IHEEM Education Committee is already assessing the papers recently submitted in response to their call for papers, and the final conference programme should be announced in June. Meanwhile, due to the success of last year’s Healthcare Estates event, and the positive response to the move to Manchester, the number of companies that have already booked their place within the accompanying exhibition – at around 110 – is “greater than ever”. Potential exhibitors should call 01892 518877 to talk to the Healthcare Estates exhibition team.
