Designed for aspiring directors and senior managers, the Development Centre Programme supports the FM Workforce Strategy published by NHS Estates. The Programme is also approved, and supported, by the Institute of Healthcare Engineering and Estate Management (IHEEM) and the Health Facilities Management Association (HeFMA).
The Programme has been running for four years and offers the opportunity for individuals to evaluate themselves against a range of management competencies and identify their strengths and development needs. The Centre provides a “safe environment” with its success enhanced by an objective, criteria-based process.
The 2005 Development Centres were a great success and applications are now being invited for the programme in January/February 2006. The Pre- Centre Briefing and Preparation Day is Wednesday 18 January, and the Residential Centre dates are Tuesday 28 February – Thursday 2 March.
A further Development Centre is planned for April.
