Specialist in surveying, data collection, and CAD services, Topscan says that, in the past year, many NHS Trusts have invested heavily in the creation of accurate CAD drawings for their building portfolio, helping them improve efficiency in the way their buildings are maintained, reduce costs, and increase the accuracy of information such as ERIC returns, and occupancy data.
A number have also used the drawings as a building database, capturing information on aspects such as data/IT points, workstations, flooring types, room function, etc, which is added to the AutoCAD drawings as a tabbed view for ease of use. With this in mind, Topscan will be show its new Regular Update & Audit service, aimed at keeping CAD drawings, and the data within them, current. Working with key staff, the company says it can collect any updates made to buildings and conduct regular audits to ensure that all changes are captured. In recent months Trusts including Yeovil District Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust have committed to the Topscan Regular Update and Audit service.
