£62 m ‘health partnership’ success

Galliford Try has been awarded a £22 million contract to build a new health centre in Coventry as part of its LIFT framework partnering agreement with Coventry Care Partnership.

The company will undertake demolition of the site’s existing health centre, along with the design and construction of the new five-storey City Centre Health facility incorporating GP practices, the city’s “walk-in” health centre, and a pharmacy. Built to achieve the BREEAM “Excellent” rating, the development is expected to be completed in November 2011. Galliford Try has also renewed its framework partnering agreement with Liverpool and Sefton Health Partnership (LSHP), and been reselected as a framework partner under which it will build eight neighbourhood health centres, in a £40 m project across Liverpool and Sefton, over the next five years.
