Interim Council members sought

IHEEM’s Council is seeking to fill two interim vacancies, and is keen to receive applications from Institute members in the East Anglia and South West Branch areas who wish to be considered, in accordance with its Articles of Association. The IHEEM governing Council holds the Institute in “trust” for current and future beneficiaries, and has responsibility for managing its business.

At the EGM held in October last year (HEJ – November 2010) members voted to adopt a new, smaller Council consisting of the President and 12 members, one each drawn from the 12 IHEEM branch areas in the UK. The reorganisation has resulted in Council vacancies from the East Anglia and South West Branch areas. The Council wishes to fill these positions until the next Annual General Meeting, which is planned for November 2011. The appointed Council members would then, should they wish, be able to apply for consideration as full-term Council members. Further details and an application questionnaire may be found on the Institute’s website at: http://www.iheem.org.uk/Governance
