Berchtold says it can now offer HD functionality on its ChromoVision camera systems for use in surgical applications.
The cameras can be integrated into the company’s Chromophare E-series surgical lighting, or mounted as an external camera system on separate support arms. Via high-resolution video technology, footage of surgery is transferred to monitors in accurate colour in either widescreen 16:9 or “classic” 4:3 formats. The surgical team can control image settings either via a handle, or electrically, with an infrared remote control and control unit. With over two million pixels, ChromoVision Full HD is said to capture images at five times the resolution of conventional systems. Optimal positioning of both independently mounted and lightingintegrated cameras is ensured, as the components are suspended in the operating theatre without a limit stop, and can be rotated through 360 degrees.
