The British Standards Institution (BSI) has extended the scope of its product testing and certification services under the International Electrotechnical Commission for Electrical Equipment (IECEE) Certification Body (CB) Scheme.
This, it says, will provide manufacturers with a simplified way of obtaining multiple national certification, and significantly reduce their time to market. The extended scope means that BSI can now offer IECEE testing and certification for modules measuring medical equipment (alongside items ranging from household appliances, to hand-held, motor operated electric tools).
