According to the npower Business Energy Index (nBEI), “an annual report tracking business opinion on energy use, energy risk, and carbon emissions”.
The “overwhelming majority of businesses (94%)” advocate reinstatement of financial incentives in the Carbon Reduction Commitment Energy Efficiency Scheme (CRC), while a third (32%) believe removal of “recycled payments” has negatively hit plans to invest in energy-saving measures. The findings follow the Government’s announcement of proposals to simplify the CRC – which do not include plans to reinstate financial incentives.
