Isolated power and UPS specialist, Bender UK, claims to have developed “the first touchscreen surgeons’ panel truly tailored to individual requirements”.
The touchscreen forms the latest panel’s “engine”, incorporating the majority of controls and alarms for the theatre environment. The screen graphics and layout are designed by the company’s in-house software specialists, following consultation with each customer, while, as part of a service package, the screens can be easily re-programmed by Bender engineers, at no additional cost, to accommodate future changes in operating theatre practice. Bender says it is also the first to offer full integration of PACS viewing screens, medical PC, and keyboard, within a common panel format. The company added: “As the ‘hub’ of the operating theatre, a Bender touchscreen panel interfaces with all the key medical engineering systems such as lighting, ventilation, power, and gas.
