IHEEM is to host a number of “Meet the AE” sessions on its stand (I1) at the Healthcare Estates Conference and Exhibition on 1 and 2 November to underline the importance, to those managing decontamination and medical gases within healthcare facilities.
Of using the services of an independent IHEEM Registered Authorising Engineer in ensuring compliance with the recommendations of HTM 00 (Best practice guidance for healthcare engineering), HTM 01-01 (Decontamination), and HTM 02-01 (Medical Gases). During the lunchtime breaks, and during the exhibition reception on the first day, an AE representing both the decontamination and medical gases disciplines will be on hand to discuss the advantages of using, and the services available via, such expert personnel. Danielle Preston, secretary to both IHEEM AE panels, said: “All the IHEEMregistered AEs are keen to promote their services to show visitors, and, by making themselves available on the Institute’s stand, hope visitors will drop by and chat about the services offered in an informal setting. They will also be delighted to discuss with potential new registrants the process for gaining registration. “Please visit the IHEEM stand in the exhibition foyer between 12.45-13.45 and 17.00-18.00 on 1 November, or 13.00-14.00 on 2 November, for this opportunity, and at any time to speak with IHEEM staff about membership and the other services available from the Institute.”
