The latest generation of the awardwinning Turbomiser chiller will be launched by Cool-Therm and Klima-Therm.
The Turbomiser III chiller uses a new adiabatic technology that, when combined with the companies’ high efficiency Turbocor compressors, EC fans, and Liquid Pressure Amplification (LPA) system, “delivers energy savings of more than 50 per cent compared with conventional screw and reciprocating chillers”. The Turbomiser III features an evaporative system on the face of the condenser coils that effectively reduces ambient temperatures in their immediate vicinity by up to 8ºC degrees, lowering condensing temperatures, and “dramatically improving” energy performance. The adiabatic system can be set to activate automatically at a predetermined external temperature. The evaporative process is fed directly by UV-sanitised water, overcoming standing or recirculated water issues, and risks of Legionnaire’s Disease and bacteria build-up, while minimising maintenance costs. A standard unit in UK conditions using water valued at around £600 annually should deliver energy savings worth around £8,000.
