Aid Call wireless nurse call systems are described as “safe, reliable, and proven”, with over 3,000 systems installed nationwide, and are said to be fast and easy to install, at what the supplier says is “a fraction of the cost of a wired system”.
The company explains: “Wireless technology offers greater flexibility, and significantly reduces installation costs; it is quick and easy to install, with minimum disruption. Because the system is radio-based, it is infinitely changeable and expandable, giving the ability to responsively address ever-changing clinical priorities and demands.”
Safety and security are the most important requirements of every hospital. The Aid Call Touchsafe system is safe to operate, as it incorporates advanced two-way radio technologies featuring automatic acceptance, and “Listen Before Talk” anti-collision, and meets the highest Class 1 European safety-critical accreditation.
All touchable elements incorporate embedded anti-microbial additives to help combat infection spread.
Aid Call adds: “With the current financial challenges facing the NHS, there has never been a greater need to offer simple, cost-effective solutions that focus on delivering ‘better value-for-money’ services, and to ensure that the maximum potential is squeezed out of every penny. A wireless system provides the functionality of a hard- wired system, but with lower installation and operating costs.”
The system’s “wire-free” nature allows the call points to be located in any location. Disruptive installation work is minimised and, since the system does not require large amounts of cable, deployment is “quick and easy”, with no requirement to change staff schedules or move patients from their wards.
All Aid Call’s products are designed by a dedicated in-house research and development team, and manufactured to ISO9001 quality standards at the company’s Blyth, Northumberland head office.
Aid Call says it is “committed to promoting sustainability”, adding: “Concern for the environment, and promoting a broader sustainability agenda, are integral to our professional activities and business management.”
The company’s products are available through the Buying Solutions framework agreement, the national procurement partner for all UK public services.
