ANS Group has won a major contract with Milton Keynes Primary Care Trust to “virtualise” the Trust’s IT estate using its Infrastructure 3.0 network architecture.
The IT solutions provider will use VMware “virtualisation” infrastucture to reduce the number of physical servers from 46 to 7, “dramatically reducing both capital and operating expenditure”, and reducing the Trust’s environmental impact by cutting the estate’s power and cooling requirements. A £234,000 saving is expected over five years.
