An IHEEM Scottish Branch St Andrew’s Day lecture being held at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley on 30 November (12.15 pm for a 12.30 pm start), will see Alan Seabourne, project director on the New South Glasgow Hospitals Development Programme, describe the experience of procuring and operating an NEC 3 contract on the project.
During his time in the health service, Alan Seabourne has project managed a large number of capital and service projects, and, since 2006, has been responsible for planning the New South Glasgow Hospitals Development Programme – a role that requires him to manage and to co-ordinate all the activities associated with the planning and construction of the New South Glasgow Adult Hospital, New Children’s Hospital, and New Laboratory Facility, as well as associated infrastructure, such as multi-storey car parks, and a 33 KVA sub-station.
