Anti-microbial radiator sees off superbugs

Jaga Heating Products has unveiled what is believed to be the world’s first heating solution that works actively to prevent harmful bacteria from reproducing on its surface. Specifically designed for healthcare locations, the Maxi LST anti-microbial is believed to be the first radiator to join the fight against dangerous hospital acquired infections.

Where standard radiators in all hospital wards are difficult to keep clean and only encourage germs to breed, this is a new fully tested and certified heating solution that does not support the spread of socalled superbugs such as MRSA. The Maxi LST anti-microbial works on contact. The active silver ions in the coating disrupt the key cell functions, stopping microbes from operating, growing or reproducing.

The original heavy duty Maxi LST (low surface temperature) remains the best selling LST radiator for healthcare locations. Its surface temperature remains below 43°C at all times, providing safe heating for patients by reducing the potential for accidental or deliberate burns. Its soft rounded design also minimises the possibility of injury from falls onto the units. This successful and popular combination now comes available with the anti-microbial coating. Aesthetically pleasing, the anti-microbial radiator retains the sophisticated and classic form of the original Maxi LST.
