Efficient bedpan disposal

Haigh Engineering will be showing the Sluicemaster “e” pulp product bedpan disposer at the HEFMA exhibition. The product, which is designed to further ease the workload of the busy hospital ward now has an enhanced antimicrobial called Bugban built in.

The unit incorporates over 200 design changes to improve electromechanical performance. Customers demanded faster, quieter disposal, together with lower energy and water consumption, and these have been achieved with the Sluicemaster "e". There is a four pan capacity disposal cycle of 90 seconds, with a third less energy and water consumption with even quieter operation. Engineering improvements include an integrated acoustic damper built into the base, much simplified service access to the mechanical components, and a redesigned quick access mechanical assembly jack. An easy to clean streamlined top with built in self draining feature to cater for occasional spills and a big "e" on the front differentiate this model externally from the standard Classic machine.
