IHEEM Wales and NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership, joint organisers of the Welsh Healthcare Estates Conference and Exhibition 2012, being held from 26-27 April this year at Cardiff’s Hilton Hotel, say the triennial event will provide an opportunity to learn, at first hand, about the latest thinking in Wales on a wide range of estates topics.
The keynote speaker will be Lesley Griffiths, AM, Welsh Government Minister for Health and Social Services (pictured), while the President’s address will be given by IHEEM President, Paul Kingsmore. Other notable speakers will include, David Sissling, chief executive, NHS Wales; Stephen Gressel, senior vice-president, Skanska USA Building; Professor Marcus Longley, University of Glamorgan; Sarah Waller, The King’s Fund; Judith Paget and Bobby Bolt, Aneurin Bevan Health Board; Trevor Payne, University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust; Chris Jofeh, Wales Low/Zero Carbon Hub; Dr Jimmy Walker, Health Protection Agency; Malcolm Hart, Phillips Healthcare, and Patrick Riordan, head of strategic planning and construction, NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership – Facilities Services. Topics covered during the two-day event will include future trends in healthcare in Wales and abroad; technological advances; working with 100% single bedrooms, and energy efficiency.
