Two submissions were received in response to an IFHE letter dated 13 April 2011 inviting applications to organise the 24th Congress in 2016.
The General Secretary, as per Standing Order S.O.11.2.g.5., requested both applicants to provide additional information to enable Council to thoroughly consider the applications. At the Council meeting, applicants, advised in advance that their bids will be considered, will be given opportunity for a brief verbal presentation, followed by a question period. Decision by Council, if necessary, will be based on the outcome of votes cast by eligible ‘A’ National Member organisations represented.
