DMA Signs has completed a major signage project at the NHS Dudley LIFT Brierley Hill Health and Social Care Centre in the West Midlands, fitting both its new internal ‘Sign Trak’ signs and external monoliths and safety signage.
The £27 m facility provides modern, purpose-built services for three GP practices, with 10 GPs serving 14,000 patients, and houses three dental surgeries, audiology, chiropody and leg ulcer services, and accommodation for local council social services staff. Moving away from the ‘traditional blue’ in the NHS recommended colour guidelines, the Centre has opted for simple black and white signage with a splash of colour to indicate departmental zones. It is the first site to benefit from the ‘Sign Trak’ system, which DMA describes as ‘a much more cost-effective solution than expensive slatted systems’. Sign Trak’s digitally printed panels slot into a slim aluminium frame, and are easily removeable and replaceable as signage requirements change. Installation possibilities include wall or door mounting, suspended, and free-standing options.
