MITIE chief executive, Ruby McGregor- Smith, recipient of a CBE in this year’s New Year’s Honours List (HEJ – February 2012), and one of only a small number of women CEOs in a FTSE 100 company, will address the British Institute of Facilities Management’s (BIFM) ‘ThinkFM’ conference this summer.
The one-day event take places on 18 June at The Royal College of Physicians in London, and the MITIE CEO will speak on issues including diversity in the workplace; sustainability; apprenticeships in the UK; entrepreneurialism, and work-life balance. The conference will be themed ‘Ideas for Change: How great facilities management makes the difference’, with the programme split into hubs including:

• People: Inspiring the team.
• Competitive advantage: driving performance and value.
