A number of new initiatives are being put in place at this year’s IHEEM Healthcare Estates exhibition and conference, with both visitors from the NHS, and other public sector attendees, set to benefit from a variety of incentives and exclusive opportunities, including the chance to secure ‘VIP’ status when they attend the flagship IHEEM annual event, which takes place this year from 9-10 October at Manchester Central.
Steve Webb, director at Step Exhibitions, which is organising the exhibition, said: “We trialled a VIP parking scheme amongst a select group of visitors last year, and received considerable praise both from exhibitors supporting it, and from visitors, who benefitted from the complimentary parking in Manchester. Delegates travelling on public transport, meanwhile, received complimentary tickets for travel in Manchester. We will be extending the scheme this year both to NHS professionals registering to attend, and to other key public sector workers who want to come. Manchester Central has proved to be very popular with our visitors, who like its central location and the standard of facilities, but we are a national show, and realise that our visitors are investing a lot of their time to attend.” This year’s event will also see a new ‘strictly by invitation VIP Programme’, as Steve Webb puts it, ‘a dedicated scheme for professionals with real spending authority, identified and qualified by a designated team’. VIP visitors will be pre-qualified free-of-charge when preregistering. NHS personnel, public sector employees, and employees of private health provider organisations and related groups, will be eligible. Healthcare Estates ‘VIP’ delegates will be personally invited to attend the exhibition as a VIP visitor, and we are aiming to bring the sector’s strongest and most relevant names to the show.” These key ‘VIP’ decision-makers will also be continuously updated with exhibitor information and the latest news. The VIP Programme’s goal is to facilitate networking, and ensure that VIPs also have the time to meet exhibitors, attend conference/seminar sessions, and enjoy the key features.” The exhibition will include over 20 hours of ‘free’ presentations, organised and presented by leading groups and partners. VIPs will be set a programme of activities, and benefit from complimentary tea and coffee and dedicated business facilities. Healthcare Estates 2012 will continue the theme of ‘Improving outcomes through innovation’.
