Patients within multi-bedded parts of the recently completed modular ward extension at Harefield Hospital can now enjoy their own personal television and radio thanks to Airwave Healthcare’s installation at the facility of one of its IPTV patient entertainment systems.
By adding to the existing IPTV infrastructure, and utilising bespoke pendant brackets, Airwave ceiling mounted 22” LCD televisions. A ‘unique’ pendant design enables easy storage of, and fixing for, the IP receiver, and manoeuvring up and down, and side to side, of the television, to support a wide range of viewing positions from both the bed and bedside chair. All services are offered free to patients, with an extensive choice of television and radio channels, and the ability to browse hospital information and healthcare pages, and to listen to output to using headphones via conveniently located adaptors fitted at the bedhead. Remote controls are tethered via special holders to prevent loss.
