Building energy management system specialist, Trend Controls, describes its latest IQView touchscreen display, IQView8, as ‘a major breakthrough in making energy management as simple and accessible as possible’.
The company explained: “IQView 8’s enhanced design and intuitive display mean users can access and act upon energy management information instantly – significantly reducing energy consumption.” Pointing out that ‘50 per cent or more of the energy consumed within a building is directly influenced by the way occupants use it’, Trend says positioning one of the new displays ‘in a high visibility area’ will enable occupants to ‘see the negative effect’ that actions such as opening windows, adjusting thermostats, and switching on heaters, have energy efficiency-wise’. Users can view and adjust operating times, monitor alarms, and adjust controller parameters, with the unit providing realtime information on temperature, humidity, setpoints etc, from the system.
