GE and Bart’s Health NHS Trust will be describing an approach via which they are working together ‘to deliver a new and innovative approach to carbon and energy usage reduction, by looking not just at the latest technology, but also at the Trust’s most important resource – its people’.
GE’s Director of Healthcare Infrastructure, Michael Smeeth, who will co-present on the topic with Fiona Daly, the Bart’s Health NHS Trust’s head of Sustainability, says the initial results delivered by active engagement with staff have been ‘very encouraging’. Michael Smeeth added: “GE and Bart’s Health are taking a truly holistic approach, and are currently analysing and modelling the potential for multiple interventions, both technological and behavioural. The outcome of this work will be a truly integrated and targeted programme that will use a fusion of people and the latest technology to deliver results that are equal to more than the sum of their individual parts.” The co-presenters of this HEJ Product Showcase presentation invite those visiting the exhibition to listen to their address, and ‘find out how excellent results are being achieved, and how the lessons learned could be applied in your Trust to achieve excellent outcomes’.
