Advanced Hygienic Contracting will explain the benefits of ‘the world’s first proven antimicrobial PVC wall cladding to incorporate BioCote silver ion antimicrobial technology’.
In partnership with BioCote, it has introduced BioClad, a wall cladding system that, thanks to the technology, should reduce levels of bacteria such as MRSA, E. coli, Legionella, Salmonella, and mould, ‘by up to 99.99%’ throughout the wall panels’ lifetime. BioClad was recently installed extensively within buildings at the Royal United Hospital in Bath, including operating theatres; it needed to be quickly and easily fitted onto an existing decorative wall required to provide an anti- microbial hygienic barrier. Each sheet was fully bonded to plastered walls, and held within a welded trim system. Corners were thermoformed on site to ensure a smooth, joint-free radius that ‘provides easy cleaning, and prevents build-up of dirt’. There is a nationwide installer network, and a number of international distribution partners, for BioClad.
