Specialist in ‘sustainable’ wall and door protection, Construction Specialties (C/S), will launch its first PVC-free interior wall protection product range, Acrovyn 4000, describing the new system as ‘the most significant product development in Acrovyn’s 41-year history’.
Re-formulated to be both PVC and PBT-free, Acrovyn 4000 offers the same ‘high impact strength’ as original Acrovyn, but is now ‘completely recyclable’ and, the company says, can also contribute to a LEED or BREEAM certified building. Wendy Duckham, Construction Specialities’ managing director, said: “This product is a major step towards removing dangerous chemicals, such as PVC and BPAs, from the environment,” The company will also show its ‘chemically resistant’ hygienic coating system, Wallglaze, and its ‘highly durable and protective’ entrance matting product, Pedisystems.
